Test Kitchen: Soya Milk Pairings

for January we are exploring the world of alt milks and how they pair with our range of chocolate. NEXT up: SOYa MILK.

1. 45% Powder + RUDE HEALTH Soya Milk

A deliciously creamy texture. The nutty flavour of the Rude Health’s soya milk brings out the rich nutty notes of the cocoa powder. Not too sweet, nicely balanced and moorish.

Try our 45% Hot Chocolate Powder. Available in both 200g tins and 2kg bags.

2. 45% Powder + PLENISH Soya Milk

Creamy yet the most neutral in taste, our favourite pairing with Plenish soya milk was with our cocoa powder. The closest to dairy milk in taste and texture, this is a great dairy alternative for those trying out Soya for the first time with their hot chocolate!

Try our 45% Hot Chocolate Powder. Available in both 200g tins and 2kg bags.

3. 55% FLAKES + HAPPY HAPPY SOY BOY Soya Milk

A much lighter hot chocolate than the others with dark hot chocolates. A surprising pair with Happy Happy Soy Boy and our 55% Flakes! The lighter milk balances well with the caramel nutty notes of the chocolate to make a very balanced, rich cup of hot chocolate for those prefer cocoa of lower percentages.

Try our 55% Dark Chocolate Flakes. Available in both 200g tins and 2kg bags.

4. 75% Buttons + ALPRO Soya Milk

A great take-away from these experiments is how well our 75% pairs with soya milk! Our favourite was Alpro. It has a lovely thickness, great aroma and was a huge crowd pleaser in Islands HQ and we know it will be for the dark chocolate lovers out there, too!

Try our 75% Dark Chocolate Buttons. Available in both 200g tins and 2kg bags.

5. 85% Buttons + M&S Soya Milk

The most indulgent! Super rich and decadent (perhaps best to be enjoyed in small, intense quantities). Fruity, rich and power chocolate flavour. Truly a delicious grown up hot chocolate.

Try our 85% Dark Chocolate Buttons. Available in 2kg bags.
