Brown Butter Blondies

Blondies are the moreish sweet treat that keeps on giving. A staple for any serious sweet tooth. As such, we’ve made these sumptuous squares with our 37% white chocolate and brown butter to give them deeper notes of that distinctive caramel flavour, alongside a honey sweetness you will love!

  • • 300g Butter
    • 200g 37% White Chocolate Buttons + 50g White Chocolate to mix through
    • 4 Large Eggs
    • 250g Caster Sugar
    • 130g Plain Flour

  • • Preheat your oven to 160°C

    • Begin by making your brown butter. In a pan over a medium heat cook your butter until the you see flecks of brown, remove from the heat and pour over your chocolate to melt together

    • Meanwhile, whisk your eggs and sugar together until thickened and light

    • Fold the chocolate mixture inside and then finish by folding in the flour and additional chocolate chips (you can fold through other ingredients at this point too, such as nuts or dried fruit)

    • Bake at 160°C for 25 minutes then reduce the oven to 150°C and bake for a further 10 minutes. This is quite a gooey brownie so don’t be shy to add more oven time!
