Ingredients:
30-35g Islands Hot Chocolate Buttons
20ml water
120ml milk
Method:
- Melt the chocolate buttons with 20ml of boiling hot water
- Give it a good swill around to make sure the chocolate is evenly melted and makes a smooth paste
- Combine with 120ml hot frothed milk for a light and fruity hot chocolate

55% - A nostalgically creamy sweet treat with notes of malt and caramel but if your taste is suited to something a little more mature, try infusing the hot milk with a pinch of chilli or a few cardamom pods for gentle spice.
65% - We’ve found our 65% Disco Dancer to be the most versatile groover in the gang. It’s our go to mochas which are best crafted by using the hot espresso shot to melt the chocolate buttons and then adding the hot frothed milk. 65% Disco Dancer also loves to get down with an Irish whiskey cream (20ml will do nicely for this recipe) or a cinnamon infused milk.
70% - This hot chocolate works best with 30-35g 70% Hot Chocolate Buttons. Using 30g will give you a clean, classic hot chocolate which would work perfectly when served with naughty little additions of marshmallows and whipped cream! If you’re going down the ‘purist’ route, opt for 35g of chocolate for a slightly more decedent drink which hits the spot all by itself.
75% - A super sexy hot chocolate boasting deep cocoa flavours, fruity acidity, a palette pleasing bitterness and mature sweetness. We find our hot chocolates are best enjoyed in their purest form… that being said if you are looking to buddy it up with a booze, our 75% Midnight Mover pairs beautifully with a spiced rum. A good 15ml splosh will top off this recipe.
