BLACK BEAN BROWNIES

Hebe has been recipe testing using our 85% chocolate drops. 

These brownies are super easy to make and are packed with fibre thanks to one of the main ingredients: black beans. ⁣Black beans are also a source of protein, folate, manganese, magnesium, thiamine and iron! Win win!

INGREDIENTS & METHOD:

  • 2 cups Islands 85% chocolate drops

  • 2 cups black beans

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil⁣

  • 1tsp baking powder⁣

  • 3 eggs⁣

  • 1/2 cup honey (adjust according to taste)⁣

  • 1/2 cup plant based milk⁣

  • 1/4 cup chopped hazelnuts⁣

Simply cook the beans in water for 1 hour then drain and add to food processor with all ingredients excluding the hazelnuts.

Bake in the oven for 25 mins and enjoy warm with a dollop of Greek yoghurt...delicious!
