For the most part, consumers have little to no insight into the background of the chocolate they eat; from the source of the beans to which varieties are used, how they are farmed, where the chocolate is made, how it is made and by whom. Here at Islands, we share the entire story with you, right from the moment our founder's father decided to plant cocoa trees on a small island in the Caribbean.
Our chocolate is grown by a small, family-owned British company, made in Belgium by an expert chocolatier from fine-flavoured Criollo beans, farmed sustainably and ethically on a small volcanic island in the heart of the Caribbean, by a team of two hundred dedicated local people.
